Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampda Yojana:- Recently this scheme was announced in the third trache of the Rs. 20 lakh crore economic package under the Atmnirbhar Bhart Abhiyan.Cabinet has approved the implementation of this scheme.

AIM

This scheme was mentioned first time in the budget of 2019-20 FY.
Aims to bring a Blue Revolution through sustainable and responsible development of the fisheries sector in India.
To Create 15 lack direct employment in fishes, fish farmer etc and thrice this as indirect employment.
Double the income of fishers/fish workers/fish farmers etc.
To Augment fish production and productivity of annual Growth rate of 9% to achieve a target of 22 million metric tons by 2024-25

Funding- Estimated investment 20,050 crore.

Central Share- 9407 crore
State Share- 4880 crore
Beneficiaries’ share 5,763 crore.

Time Period - FY 2020-21 to 2024-25 FY (5 years)

Implementation- implemented as an umbrella scheme with two separate Components namely.

Central Sector Scheme (CS)
Non-Beneficiary Oriented 100% centrally sponsored	Beneficiary oriented- the individual/group/activities of Central Government including National Fisheries Development Board, the central assistance will be up to 40% of project cost for General Category and 60% for SC/ST/Women category

Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS)
Non-Beneficiary Oriented The entire project/unit cost will be share between central and state. Implemented by State/UT	Beneficiary Oriented-The financial assistance of both centre and State/UTs will be limited to 40% of the project cost for General Category and 60% for SC/ST/Women category Implemented by- States/Uts
