Pradhan Mantri Matsya
Sampda Yojana:- Recently this scheme
was announced in the third trache of the Rs. 20 lakh crore economic package
under the Atmnirbhar Bhart Abhiyan.Cabinet has approved the implementation of
this scheme.
The Centre and state financial assistance for CS and CSS as mentioned above will be shared as given below
AIM
- This scheme was mentioned first time in the budget of 2019-20 FY.
- Aims to bring a Blue Revolution through sustainable and responsible development of the fisheries sector in India.
- To Create 15 lack direct employment in fishes, fish farmer etc and thrice this as indirect employment.
- Double the income of fishers/fish workers/fish farmers etc.
- To Augment fish production and productivity of annual Growth rate of 9% to achieve a target of 22 million metric tons by 2024-25

investment 20,050 crore.
- Central Share- 9407 crore
- State Share- 4880 crore
- Beneficiaries’ share 5,763 crore.

Central Sector Scheme (CS)

Fisheries Development Board, the central assistance will be up to 40% of
project cost for General Category and 60% for SC/ST/Women category

The entire project/unit cost will be share between central and state.

Beneficiary Oriented-The financial assistance of both centre and
State/UTs will be limited to 40% of the project cost for General Category and

- North Eastern and Himalayan State- 90% central share and 10% state share
- Other State- 60% Central Share and 40% State Share
- UTs(with Legislature and Without legislature)- 100% Central share
