Day :-
Context- The
Ministry of culture hosted a webinar on “Revitalising Museum and Cultural
Spaces’’ to celebrate the international Museum Day.
International Museum Day is celebrated every
year on 18 May to raise awareness about the fact that “Museum are an
important means of cultural exchange, enrichment of cultures and development of
mutual understanding, cooperation and peace among peoples”.

Background Of
International Museum Day :- International Museum Day was instituted
in 1977 by the International Council of Museums (ICOM).
ABOUT ICOM :-
ICOM is the main and only organization of museum and museums professionals with
global scope committed to Promotion and cultural Heritage, Present and future
tangible and intangible.
It was created in 1946 and H.Q . in Paris, France.

museums administrated by the Ministry of Culture?-NO
(Multiple ministries
hold charges of various Museums. Some are run without government suppoted by a
handful of people under a board of Trustees.)
Webinar On
Uttarakhand’s Tourism Potentional
The
20th session of the Dekho Apna Desh webinar series on 16th May 2020 titled
“Uttarakhand Simply Heaven” highlighted the potential of tourism in
Uttarakhand’s two regions namely Kedar Khand (Garhwal Region) and Manu Khand
(Kumaon Region) and touched upon .the popular destination like Gangotri,
Yamunotri, Badrinath, Kedarnath, Hemkhund Sahib and the UNESCO World Heritage
Site of Valley of Flowers.
Dekho Apna Desh
is inaugurated by the Ministry
of The Tourism. Its objective is to encourage Indians to visit various
tourist destinations of the country focusing on the benefits of the country
focusing on the benefits of tourism. It also aims to spread the message of “Tourism For All”.
CHARAN PADUKA
– This campaign is launched by The Government of Madhya Pradesh for the migrant labourers passing
through the state. In This Campaign The labourers who are going barefoot are
being provided shoes and slippers to reduce their pain.
Hanko – It is a personal stamp generally made
from wood or plastic. It is small sized and circular or squar-shaped, the stamp
is wet by an ink pad called shuniku and the mark that it leaves on a document
is called INKAN
