🔆Netravali Wildlife Sanctuary
✅Recently a black panther (IUCN Vulnerable) was spotted in Netravali Sanctuary.
✅Also there has been demand by Politicians and Activists of Goa, to notify certain areas in wildlife sanctuaries of the state as a Tiger Reserve.
✅ Netravali Wildlife Sanctuary is located in South-Eastern Goa, named after Netravali river, which is an important tributary of River Zuari, which originates in the sanctuary.
✅Sanctuary also have 2 all-season waterfalls- Savari and Mainapi.
✅It is adjacent to
1. Dandeli-Anshi Tiger Reserve, Karnataka on the eastern side,
2. Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary, Goa on the southern side and
3. Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary and Mollem National Park on the northern side.
✅The Gaur or Indian Bison, Malabar giant squirrel, four-horned antelope or chousingha, leopard, black sloth bear etc are found in the sanctuary.
