Dehing Patkai Wildlife sanctuary.
Why In News :- Concern have been expressed over the diversion of 98.59 haters land of Saleki proposed reserve forest , which is part of Dehing Patkai elephant reserve, for a coal mining project in Upper Assam.
The reserve is located in the diburugarh and Tinsukia district of Assam.
It is the largest stretch of tropical lowland rainforests in India.
Some ethnic groups living in this area like Tai phake, khamyang, Khampti , singhpo, moran and motak etc.
